My background

Hi, I’m Julie! I’ve been baking for years—everything from artisan breads to elaborate wedding cakes—and I believe gluten-free baking should be just as fun, flavorful, and satisfying as the classics. After graduating from Scottsdale Culinary Institute’s Le Cordon Bleu Pastry and Baking program, I worked as a Pastry Cook and Pastry Chef in catering companies and at the Arizona Biltmore Resort. I also ran my own catering business for many years.

After moving to the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona, I slowed down a bit and found so much joy in sharing my baked goods—desserts, breads, and more—with my local community through my micro-bakery.

Beyond the kitchen, I’m a wife to the most supportive husband (who cheers on all my wild ideas!) and a mom to four amazing kids who keep life full and sweet.

Do I need to be an experienced baker to take this course?

Not at all! This course is designed for both beginners and intermediate home bakers. The step-by-step videos and recipe guide walk you through each recipe so you can follow along with confidence, no matter your skill level.

Do I need special equipment?

No fancy tools required! Most of the recipes can be made with basic kitchen equipment like mixing bowls, baking pans, and a hand mixer. I’ll share a few optional tools that can make baking easier, but you can absolutely start with what you already have.

What makes this different from recipes I can find online for free?

Great question! While you can find recipes online, not all of them work—especially with gluten-free baking. This course gives you tested recipes that actually turn out, plus step-by-step video guidance, baking tips, and troubleshooting advice you won’t get from a random recipe blog post. Will the recipes also work for dairy-free or vegan diets?

Yes! In the recipes, I share simple substitutions for making many of the recipes dairy-free or vegan, so you can adapt them to your needs. Although some recipes adapt better to dairy-free and vegan better than others.
